Academic Staff

Professor John Grieve is the Chair of the John Grieve Centre for Policing & Community Safety. After a 36-year career in the Metropolitan Police Service he has undertaken a number of Higher Education roles and is also a Member of the Independent Monitoring Commission for Peace in Northern Ireland. Dr Nicholas Ridley
is a Senior Lecturer with the John Grieve Centre. He has been a criminal inteligence analyst with the Metropolitan Police and with Europol. His expertise is in financing of terrorism and in organised crime in eastern and south eastern Europe. For more info click.

Administrative Staff

Kalbir Sohi is the finance and office administrator at the John Grieve Centre and is available on Fridays. Kalbir is a PhD student in Philosophy at King's College London and joined the JGC in December 2006.

Monika Pilatowska
is responsible for organising and co-ordinating conferences, training and postgraduate courses. She also assists in maintaining up-to-date information on the John Grieve Centre Website. Monika joined the JGC in March 2007 and works on a part-time basis.

Dr Clive Harfield was Academic Leader (Reader) at the John Grieve Centre for Policing & Community Safety. Recently he has taken up the post of Associate Professor of Law, University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia.
